As a UNESCO Global Geopark, the Cliffs of Moher are a miraculous natural wonder that needs to be experienced in order to truly feel their height and the full force of the Atlantic Ocean at their base.
With hiking trails, a visitor center, and an interactive museum, the Cliffs of Moher have something for everyone!

Important Information
Located on the west coast of Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher are situated close to the city of Galway which can be a perfect base for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
If you want to have closer accommodation, I would check out the town of Doolin. This small picturesque town is situated at the Northern end of the Cliffs of Moher trail and has some fantastic B&B, glamping, and hotel options.

Sam's Tips & Tricks
The Cliffs of Moher are a very well-known Irish landmark and see approximately 1.5 million visitors per year, so in order to experience the views and avoid the crowds here are some of my tips and tricks that will make your visit truly magnificent.
Arrive during off-peak hours! Peak hours (11am - 4pm) are when the tour bus crowds arrive and usually spend 1-2 hours at the Cliffs. by arriving anywhere from 8am - 10am and 4pm - close, you will be able to explore at your leisure and without having to navigate around other groups. **Bonus recommendation: Sunset is the best time to visit in my opinion.**
Rent a car. I know this will not be popular with some travelers, however, I think the best to explore the Emerald Isle is on your own. By renting your own car, you will have more time and more freedom to explore the hidden locations and all of the castles!!
Hike the trails around the Visitor Center. Don't get me wrong the visitor center is a great place to start your day at the Cliffs, especially for families with young children. But the best views and awe-inspiring vistas are located closer to the cliff edge. There are two trails, one heading south and another heading north. I would say explore both; the views just keep getting better.
